These terms apply to all users, including administrators, team members, and external recipients of protected documents.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All platform software, design, branding, analytics systems, and security frameworks are the exclusive property of Document Shield and are protected by intellectual property laws.

  • The Document Shield platform and codebase are proprietary
  • You may not reverse engineer or replicate our system
  • Logos, trademarks, and branding may not be used without written permission
  • Your uploaded documents remain your intellectual property

3. User Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and ensuring that access to your account is restricted to authorized individuals only.

You are fully responsible for all activities conducted under your account, including document uploads, sharing, and password management.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to misuse Document Shield or use the platform for unlawful or unauthorized purposes.

Uploading malicious, illegal, or harmful content
Attempting to bypass password protections or security controls
Unauthorized access to other users’ documents
Interfering with platform performance or infrastructure

5. Service Disclaimer

Document Shield provides secure document protection and analytics tools on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or free from technical errors
  • Analytics data will always be 100% accurate due to external factors
  • Unauthorized access will never occur despite strong encryption
  • All detected activity represents verified human behavior

6. Limitation of Liability

Document Shield shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our document protection and analytics services.
